Through a variety of program and class options, both virtual and in person, PPLD provides adults in the Pikes Peak Region with the opportunity to engage with others in their community, learn a new skill or hobby, find reading recommendations, and connect with one of the Strategic Services Librarians who specialize in Law, Business, and Non-Profit areas.  Explore the events happening now at a library location near you, learn more about annual program offerings, and find recorded presentations on the PPLD YouTube channel.  Whether you are a local author, budding business entrepreneur, or looking to start a non-profit, PPLD has something for you!

Reading programs aren’t just for kids! This program provides reading and learning activities specifically for ages 18+. Plus, win prizes at various milestones throughout the program.

This community-wide book club is aimed at improving literacy and fostering dialogue across social, cultural, and generational lines.  Each year we pick book titles focused on timely topics that coincide with planned community-wide programming.

This event is an opportunity for the public and local authors to network, listen to notable authors, and learn more about the craft of writing and trends in publishing.

All Pikes Peak Writes is PPLD’s annual fiction writing contest for ages 12+, and seeks to highlight writers in our community through one contest.

Library Explorers

Library Explorers is a PPLD program for adults of differing abilities. This program provides adults with physical and developmental disabilities opportunities to enjoy their library spaces, materials, and programs in the ways that are most enjoyable and accessible for their individual needs.

Scrap Exchanges

In collaboration with Who Gives a SCRAP Creative Reuse Center, we are hosting an arts, craft, and hobby material exchange! Bring in your new, clean/gently used and unwanted craft materials and exchange them for "tickets" to "purchase/exchange" new-to-you craft supplies!

Craft Groups

Bring a craft to work on while socializing with other crafters! Craft groups are open to everyone age 18+ and are a great opportunity to learn about new crafts, have a good conversation, and get to know more about PPLD. No registration required. All PPLD craft groups are facilitated by PPLD staff.
